At Shore Christian Academy we use the Abeka curriculum. Since 1972, the Abeka curriculum has challenged students by providing them with an "excellent education from a Christian perspective". This teacher-led, character-building philosophy comes from a biblical foundation—Proverbs 22:6,
“TRAIN UP A child IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO,
AND WHEN HE IS OLD HE WILL NOT depart FROM IT."
You'll find Scripture and Biblical principles used to emphasize and illustrate concepts in every subject.
In grammar, you see God's order, in history you see God's hand and in science, you see His design.

Spiritual Objectives

To teach that the Bible is the only written Word of God.

To teach that God is the Sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all that is (Col 1:15-17).

To teach that man is born a sinner, and in this natural condition is unable to please God (Rom. 3:10, 23).

To teach that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth to die for sinners (John 3:16).

To lead each pupil into a personal relationship with Christ (John 3:36).

PRE-KINDERGARTEN 4

KINDERGARTEN
The Pre-K and Kindergarten programs at Shore Christian Academy utilize an advanced curriculum. Our students receive spiritual training through Bible songs, stories and verse memorizataion. They learn names, sounds, and pictures of all letters of the alphabet, counting, and recognizing numbers. They also enjoy a variety of circle time activities including weather, calendar, language development, music, and art. With 2 recess times, students get plenty of outdoor activities.
Our programs are focused on age-appropriate material and arranged within a structured schedule in a Christ-centered environment. The day does not consist of mostly free playtime but rather learning time presented in a fun and exciting way.
Parents are encouraged to start their children in our Pre-K program to keep them on track for the advanced nature of our curriculum.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
1ST-6TH GRADE
Our curriculum builds each year on the basics of the preceding year. This advanced curriculum has students performing at 1.5 grade levels higher than others. Our challenging curriculum incorporates hands-on learning. Our students accept the challenges of each year because of the solid foundation established in our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs. Our elementary students are taught to be positive role models for our younger students and incredible bonds are formed within our entire student body. Students study Language, Reading, Penmanship, Creative Writing, Spelling, Vocabulary, Poetry, History & Geography, Science, Arithmetic, Health, and Bible.
Cursive writing is taught in 1st grade!

CHAPEL SERVICES
Chapel services are held every Thursday morning. The entire student body attends chapel services together. Our students worship together through song and Biblical messages are shared from local pastors, youth group leaders, and community leaders. Testimonies are shared by many members of our local community.
Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. JUDO
Judo is offered to students in
1st grade and higher.

All SCA Students learn ASL
throughout the year.

PRAISE TEAM
Our SCA Praise Team is comprised
of 5th grade students and older.

music during chapel services.
